This is an Update on Beastmaster and Prince, click here for the original post about it. I have an important update, yesterday Otomate posted in the comment section of the Kickstarter saying,
"We recognize that some of you advised us to relaunch the project. We understand your points and take your advices seriously but at this point, we don't have an option to relaunch it and would like to focus on the current project for everyone who has already supported the project. This project would be an important step to do more Otome titles in future. So we will try to do our best to make this succeed. Thank you for your supports."
Which means this game will determine whether or not they will keep localizing games (or in other words, putting them in English). Remember, this is the same company that has created, 'Diabolik Lovers', 'Brothers Conflict', 'Amnesia Memories', and so on. In other words this is a pretty big company whose games are almost guaranteed to be good! Of course there a couple other Otome companies who will localize their titles, however what would they think to a large company such as Otomate stop localizing their games? Won't they feel discouraged and stop localizing their games as well, thinking that there must not be a large market over here for them?
We have to make this project work, they're testing the boundaries of the Western Market by using a not so known title. I understand that some people are holding off due to wanting this game in Vita format, however I have heard from a couple of people that if they earn a $1000 more than the goal, they will (due to Japanese Vita rights). Also, if you think about it there are over 50k people just in the Diabolik Lovers fanbase alone, which means if everyone would give at the least $3 then we could easily met the goal. We have 2 1/2 weeks left, it's too early to give up! All we need to do is to make this project more known, so let's work together everyone! So that the world will have access to Otomes (not just in Japan)!
